Hazel May Rush, 95, of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on August 7, 2011 at Lopatcong Care Center.
Born: August 12, 1915 in Hampton, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Susie Byerlee.
Personal: Hazel worked as a bookkeeper for Washington Porcelain and Giles & Ransone Co. in Philadelphia.
Hazel was a graduate from Hampton High School class of 1934. Hazel loved to cook, collecting cookbooks, the Jersey shore and spending time at her home in Florida.
Memberships: Hazel was a member of the Washington Methodist Church.
Survivors: her loving husband of 66 years, Elston; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters, Alice Laube, Florence Drake, Ella Fetherman, Elsie Drake, Dorothy Vosseller; brothers, Fred Byerlee, Albert Byerlee, Reginald Byerlee, William Byerlee and Donald Byerlee.
Services: Visitation, Saturday, August 13, 2011 , 9 a.m. until time of service, at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Services, August 13, 2011 , at 10 a.m. with Rev. William Noll officiating, at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Burial in the Stewartsville Presbyterian Cemetery.
