Robert C. Kresge Sr., 91, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Berwick, Washington and Hackettstown, New Jersey, passed away on April 21, 2026.
Born on March 31, 1935, in Snydersville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Clyde Kresge and Elsie Kresge (née Klingel). Robert was a graduate of Hackettstown High School, Class of 1955, and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Robert was a man of many interests and talents. He enjoyed coin collecting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, and camping. He was also known for his extensive belt buckle and Elvis Presley collection. Volunteering was a central part of his life. He generously gave his time to the American Red Cross and The Arc of Warren County, where he brought joy to countless families by portraying Santa Claus for nearly 40 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan Kresge; his grandchildren, Tyler Kresge with his wife Cathy Kresge, Crystal Vail, and Amstel Hartrum; his sister, Gail Snyder; his great friend, Skip Detrick; and many loving grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife, Janet, who passed away in 2023; his son, Robert C. Kresge Jr.; his brothers, Clyde, Terry, Richard, and Karey; and his granddaughter, Amber Lynn Vail, who passed away in 2001.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, New Jersey 07882.
A service celebrating Robert’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will be held privately.
