Robert S. Allen of Belvidere, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at the age of 92.
Born on October 27, 1933, in Somerville, New Jersey, Robert was the son of Catherine McGrath.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from New York University and went on to work at IBM. After leaving IBM he continued to build a successful career in construction and other various entrepreneurial ventures. Finishing with National Investment Company (NIC), when he retired in 2018.
Robert proudly served his country as a Navy SEAL during both the Korean War and two tours of duty during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his companion, Juliann Lackey, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Robert was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. In his free time, he had a passion for motorcycles, boating, skiing and dancing. He had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, April 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, New Jersey 07882. A Mass celebrating Robert’s life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, New Jersey. Interment will take place afterward at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Roseto, Pennsylvania.
