Anthony M. Perricone
January 16, 1930 - December 24, 2011

Anthony M. Perricone, 81, of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2011 at the Hospice House of St. Luke's in Bethlehem, PA.
Born: January 16, 1930, a son of the late Anthony and Angelina Perricone.
Personal: He was a resident of Washington, NJ for 39 years. He previously resided in the Bronx, and Brooklyn, NY.
Tony was a Technical Service Manager and worked for 50 years at Oakite Products, Berkley Heights, NJ, retiring in 1998.
He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He earned several medals during his tour of duty.
Tony was an avid sports fan.  His passion was baseball. In his early years, Tony played in a Semi-Pro League where he once played against Joe Torre.  Tony was a NY Yankee fan. It was his love of baseball and sports that many children are grateful for the endless hours he would spend volunteering his time coaching them. Tony was not only a coach but a founding member of the Washington Little League, PAL Street Hockey and Washington's youth ice hockey team. Tony loved his community and his church and this was evident by his volunteerism to both. 
Above all, Tony loved God, his wife Helen, and his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Memberships: Tony was an active member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Washington, NJ.
He was very active in the community and his church, He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and he started the Bingo fundraiser at St. Joseph's, where he could always be found volunteering his time. Tony was also a Parish Trustee and was on the committee that built the present St. Joseph's Church on Carlton Avenue where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister. He and his wife Helen were members of the St. Joseph Couple's Club. Tony also volunteered and organized fundraisers for the Warren County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
Survivors: his beloved wife, Helen, of 55 years; two devoted sons, Anthony Perricone and his wife, Kathleen of Bedminster, PA, and David Perricone of Hackensack, NJ; and four grandchildren, Angelina, Amanda, Nicholas and Anthony.
Services: Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 200 Carlton Ave., Washington, NJ 07882, with Fr. Blaise Baran officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Washington, NJ.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Tony's family requests that donations be made to the Perricone Family Sport Management Scholarship at Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ. Please make checks payable to Centenary College and mail to Anthony Perricone, PO Box 301, Bedminster, PA 18910.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
