William John Kimble
November 7, 1925 - December 7, 2011

William John Kimble, 86, Ushered into the fullness of life on December 7, 2011, at home, surrounded by those he loved. Born: November 7, 1925 in Oxford, NJ, he was a son of Thomas and Catherine Gartner Kimble. Personal: He was a lifelong resident of Oxford, NJ. He was a Journeyman Screen Printer, Castle Creek Prints, Washington for 20 years before retiring in 1990. He also served as a janitor for Port Colden School for 15 years. An Army Veteran of World War II, Bill was a 1943 graduate of Washington High School. Bill was an avid Yankees fan. He loved to play quoits, pinochle and in his heyday, had a tremendous passion for playing baseball and softball in leagues. Though he was a quiet man, his life spoke volumes, expressing his love and care for his loved ones. He was the happiest when surrounded by family and friends and will be greatly missed. Memberships: A parishioner of St Rose of Lima Church, Oxford. American Legion Post #528 in White Township. Survivors: His loving wife of 63 years, the former Pauline Elizabeth Rose Becker; three sons, William J. Kimble II and his wife Lois of Karrsville, NJ, Gerard Joseph Kimble of Easton, PA and Daniel Thomas Kimble of Stroudsburg, PA; two daughters, Dianna Anema and husband, Ralph of Washington and Terese Jacob Rose of Georgia; 'adopted daughter', Nancy Alpaugh and her husband Rick of Oxford, NJ,; his brother, George Kimble of Tucson, AZ; 22 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by five brothers, Thomas, Henry, Robert, Charles, David and three sisters, Louise, Kathryn and Evelyn. Services: Visitation, Sunday, December 11, 2011, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Services, Monday, December 12, 2011 9 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima RC Church, 85 Academy St., Oxford. Burial in the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
