David Brian Evarts, 68, of Washington, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on June 8, 2026.

Born on November 20, 1957, in Somerville, New Jersey, David was the son of the late Robert Evarts Sr. and Thelma Evarts (née Hall).

David was a graduate of Hillsborough Vo-Tech and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1977 to 1980. Following his military service, he devoted much of his life to his family, faith, and community.

A devoted member of the Walnutport Seventh-day Adventist Church, David was actively involved in many church activities and ministries. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life and was reflected in his dedication to serving others.

David was a devoted father who took great pride in supporting his children’s activities. He was actively involved in their Boy Scout programs and generously volunteered his time as an umpire for their baseball games. He was also an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed following high school wrestling and football.

David will be lovingly remembered by his children, Brian Evarts and his wife, Elizabeth; Amanda Evarts; Leanne Evarts; and Hilary Le and her husband, Nguyen. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Addisyn, Landon, Logan, and Izzy; his brother, Robert Evarts Jr. and his wife, Laura; and his nieces and nephews, Melanie Taylor (Jerome), Sarah Davenport, Emily Rathyen (Bill), and Dan Evarts.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his beloved niece, Heather Evarts.

David's kindness, faith, dedication to family, and willingness to help others will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Going Home Celebration will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Walnutport Seventh-day Adventist Church, 227 Willow Road, Walnutport, Pennsylvania. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate David's life and share memories of the impact he made on those around him.

Cremation and inurnment of cremains will be held privately. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in David's memory to the Walnutport Seventh-day Adventist Church, 227 Willow Road, Walnutport, PA 18088, or to the Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.

David's legacy of faith, service, and love for his family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
