Marie Geene

Marie Geene, 97, passed peacefully on Friday, October 16, 2009 in Heath Village nursing Home, Hackettstown.
Born: In Hackettstown on March 20, 1912, daughter of the late Cosmo D. and Antionette Gadaleta.  
Personal: She was a lifelong resident of Washington.
Marie worked for the Oxwall Tool & Die Co in Oxford, The Pohatcong Hosiery, and Murphy’s Department Store in Washington.
Marie graduated from Washington High School class 1930. Marie was a 50 plus year member of the First Presbyterian Church in Washington. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, traveling and reminiscing about changes that she had witnessed during her lifetime. She looked forward to participating in holiday and family celebrations and spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She also enjoyed her friends and their travels together.  
SURVIVORS: A daughter, Patricia Warne and her husband, George K. of Washington; three grandchildren, Tamara L. Warne of Hackettstown, Darren L. Warne of Washington, Lawrence A. Warne of Lindenwold, NJ; a great-granddaughter, Dawn Warne; a nephew, Thomas Starr of Connecticut .Her loving husband of 50 years, Joseph C. Geene passed away on October 17, 1984. A sister Romilda Starr passed earlier,
Services: Funeral Services and burial at Washington Cemetery will be private in the Warren Hills Memorial Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue , Washington , NJ 07882 .
