Virginia Nell Burd, 88, of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully at Warren Haven Nursing Home on October 18, 2011.
Born: November 30, 19 22 in Kaufman TX, she was a daughter of the late James and Mamie Carlisle.
Personal: She was a resident of Washington, NJ for 61 years, previously she lived in Easton, PA. Virginia was a homemaker, earlier in her life she worked as a secretary for Consumers Research in Washington, NJ. She graduated from Kaufman High School, class of 1942.
Survivors: Her loving husband of 66 years, Arthur Burd; a son, James Burd and his wife Mary of Washington; a brother, Patrick Carlisle of Austin, TX; four beloved grandchildren, Jessica McLain and her husband Chris of Harmony, NJ, Sarah Hoppock and her husband Todd of Palmer Township, PA, April Guilfoyle and her husband Stephen of Washington, NJ, and Caleb Burd of Washington, NJ; nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, James and Benton Carlisle, and a sister, Mamie Lee Seabolt.
