Yvonne Mancini

Yvonne Mancini, 82, of Washington, NJ and previously of Brooklyn, NY, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of the family she cherished so deeply on September 22, 2026.

Born on May 4, 1944, to Theresa and John Mastropasqua, Yvonne grew up in Brooklyn, NY, alongside her sisters, Marie DiCarlo and Tina Messina. She later married the love of her life, Anthony Mancini, with whom she built a beautiful life and a close, devoted family. Their enduring love was one of Yvonne’s greatest blessings. Through every season of life, they remained devoted to each other and enjoyed more than 62 years of marriage.

Yvonne was the loving mother of two daughters, Donna DiTuri and Gina Engira. She was also a devoted mother-in-law to Vito DiTuri and Ram Engira, and a proud grandmother to Nicholas and Dominic DiTuri, and Marcus, Ava, and Gavin Engira. Her daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren were among the greatest joys of her life, and she treasured every moment they shared together.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Marie DiCarlo and Tina Messina. She is survived by her brothers-in-law, Lawrence DiCarlo and Dr. Edward Messina, who remain a cherished part of her family and her life’s story.

To know Yvonne was to feel welcomed, understood, and cared for. She possessed a rare gift for making people feel completely comfortable in her presence. Friends and family naturally confided in her, knowing she would listen, offer encouragement, and help in any way she could. She made friends wherever she went and touched countless hearts through her generosity, compassion, and genuine concern for others.

Yvonne also knew how to bring joy into a room. She loved to have a good time, had a wonderfully sharp sense of humor, and possessed an unforgettable laugh that delighted everyone around her. She was fiercely loyal and protective of the people she loved.

Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and the wonderful aromas of her cooking and baking. Yvonne was known for preparing incredible meals and for bringing her family together around the table. Some of her grandchildren’s most treasured memories will always be baking Christmas cookies with her, enjoying sleepovers, sharing laughter, and simply spending time with their grandmother. Even during her most difficult days, being with her grandchildren continued to bring her happiness and comfort.

Yvonne leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, laughter, strength, and family devotion. She will be missed beyond measure by her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, extended family, friends, and all whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.

Although her family will feel her absence every day, they will carry her love and memory with them always. They will honor her in the meals prepared with love, the Christmas cookies made together, the laughter shared around the table, and the countless stories and memories that will continue to bring comfort for generations.

Yvonne was deeply loved, and she loved deeply in return. Her beautiful spirit will remain forever in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
