William E. Sperr, 70, of Washington, NJ, and formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on July 28, 2025, with his loving wife by his side.
Born on March 1, 1955, in Plainfield, NJ, William was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (née Gonzol) Sperr. He was a 1973 graduate of Middlesex High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree in history from Rutgers University.
William had a lifelong passion for science fiction, especially Star Trek. A proud fan, he attended the 1976 Star Trek convention in New York. He was also deeply interested in World War II history, particularly the European front. A gifted artist and cartoonist, William had a unique talent for capturing humor and history in his artwork.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna; his sister, Patti; his cousin, Jackie; and his cherished dog, Honey Boo Boo.
