Veronica L Mullikin

Veronica L.” TOOT “ Mullikin, 79, of Washington passed away on January 26, 2021 at Hunterdon Medical Center. Veronica was born on October 25 1941 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Douglas and Adaline (Morley) Markle. She graduated from Washington High School class of 1959. Veronica moved to Washington in 1950 from New Village, NJ. Her loving husband Burdette Mullikin Sr passed away in 2018. Veronica was employed as an Aide for the Hunterdon State School in Clinton, NJ for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and reading. Veronica cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Burdette Jr “Pete” and his wife Kathy; daughters, Jody Mullikin, Kim Rinehart and her husband Paul; a sister, Patricia Markle; a brother, Douglas Markle; 7 grandchildren Peter Mullikin,Kristen Mullikin,Paul Rinehart Jr, Brandon Rinehart, Robert Vandervelde, Leeanne Vandervelde, and Jeremy Vandervelde, great grandchildren Raegan Mullikin and Mackinley Mullikin. In addition to her parents and her husband, Veronica was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Markle, and a sister Ethel “Sis” Toretta. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
