Theodore R. Peyrek Jr. 88 of Washington Twp. passed away peacefully on August 23, 2013 at Brakeley Care Center . Born: on January 7, 1925 in Brooklyn , NY , to the late Theodore R. Sr. and Ria Peyek. Personal: Ted graduated from Rutgers University . He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was stationed aboard the USS Valve (ARS 28) and saw action in the Pacific theatre. He served in the US Navy and US Navy Reserve where he was commanding officer of reserve units in Lehigh Valley and Avoca , Pennsylvania , followed by various positions at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. He earned the rank of Captain and retired after 42 years of service. He married Virginia (Toth) on August 18, 1951 in the First Presbyterian Church in Washington , he later served as an Elder and Deacon of the church. Ted was a principal in Tedwell Associates and was the former President of Tech Conveyor in Phillipsburg . He loved reading and enjoyed military history. Survivors: His loving wife of 62 years Virginia, two sons Theodore R Peyrek, III and his wife Virginia, Thomas G. Peyrek and his wife Barbara; a daughter Karen Fardelmann and her husband Peter; six grandchildren Kristin, Katey, Kyle, Matthew, Emily and Michaela. He was predeceased by a son Thomas Peter and a brother Richard Peyrek Services: Friends and family may call on Tuesday August 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave , Washington , NJ . Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery Memorials: Wounded Warrior Project 370 7th Avenue, Suite 1802 New York , New York 10001 . Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
