Tarah L Best

Tarah L. Best, 37, passed away suddenly and sadly on May 25, 2023 at Hackettstown Community Hospital. Tarah was born on February 19, 1986 in Hackettstown, NJ to Thomas and Lisa "Ryan" Welsh. Tarah was a split student at both Warren Hills and Warren County Technical School, she earned a degree in cosmetology and graduated in 2004. She was a talented beautician and barber and was employed at Lina's Chop Shop in Washington for many years. Tarah and her husband Joseph were married in 2017. She loved being a Momma and raising her family. She also enjoyed having a good time, listening to music and collecting owls and skulls. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, she loved the decor and scary movies of the fall season.

Tarah spent her first 16 years living in PA. where she enjoyed camping and made many lifelong friends at the campground. She played on the softball team, and when in high school, she played clarinet for the Tri Valley High School marching band.

In addition to her husband Joseph Best and her parents, Tarah is survived by her loving daughter Annalynn Best and her stepchildren, Joseph Best Jr. and Chloe Haasz. Tarah had no siblings by birth, but her lifelong best friend Nina Porter, has been like a sister to her since they met when they were children. Tarah's family and children were her world. She had a very loving heart, was a wonderful and loving mother to Annalynn, Joey and Chloe. She always made her loved ones feel special. Her passing leaves a great void in the lives of her family and loved ones. Tarah will be missed terribly but will always be remembered through the many good times and smiles she shared with those she loved.

She enjoyed her work and co-workers at the Chop Shop, cutting people's hair and making them look and feel great was rewarding.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday May 31, 2023 from 5-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882.
