Russell John Duckworth, 68, formerly of Eatontown, NJ passed away peacefully on March 1, 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. Russell was born on April 26, 1947 in Neptune, NJ to the late Robert D. Duckworth and Christina M. Duckworth. Russell graduated from Shore Regional High School class of 1965. He served proudly in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Russell retired from the Navy after 22 years of service attaining the rank of Master Chief. After his military career he went to work in the family business for Duckworth Sunoco in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. Russell was a member of the VFW and enjoyed collecting stamps & coins. He was also an avid reader of an extensive collection of books. He is survived by his loving wife Luz M. Duckworth of Las Vegas, NV; Sons Russell James Duckworth & Jason K. Duckworth and his son Andrew of Eatontown, NJ; Daughter Caroline Aguirre and her husband Jirian & their children Christina & Anthony of Reno, NV; Brothers Richard Duckworth of Oceanport, NJ and Robert W. Duckworth and his wife Marie of Red Bank, NJ. Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday April 2, 2016 from 12-2 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Memorial Service will be celebrated immediately following at 2:00 PM. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W.
