Rose B Martin

Rose Martin, 84, of Oxford, passed away peacefully at her home on April 17, 2023. Rose was born on December 17, 1938 in Berlin, VT to the late George and Winifred "Dalton" Payette. She grew up in Vermont before moving to Phillipsburg, NJ in 1954.

Rose had various jobs throughout her life. Most recently she was employed as a Certified Home Health Aide for Visiting Homemaker Service in Washington, retiring in 2018. She was named 2013 Home Health Aide of the Year. Rose also volunteered for the Warren County Meals at Home program.

Rose enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed reading, word search, jigsaw puzzles and watching TV Land. Rose loved the time spent with her beloved dog, Lexie.

Her loving husband Frank Martin, Sr. passed away in 2005.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Rose Marie Nieto and Yvonne Werner and her husband Floyd; sons, Frank Martin, Jr. and his wife Linda, Steve Martin and his wife Tammy and 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Frank, Rose was preceded in death by brothers, Jim and Rod Payette; a sister, Winnie Santamore and a granddaughter, Cassie Martin.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday April 23, 2023 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A memorial service celebrating Rose's life will be celebrated on Sunday at 2:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Washington Cemetery on Monday April 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
