Robert J. Kadi, 77, of Washington Township, NJ, passed away on July 23, 2025 at Hunterdon Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on December 7, 1947, in Astoria, Queens, New York, Robert was the son of the late Joseph and Vilma (Pamer) Kadi. He was a proud graduate of Flushing High School and Queensborough Community College. Robert honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and remained a proud veteran throughout his life.
Professionally, Robert worked as a financial analyst for Bristol-Myers and Union Camp Corp. In later years he worked for Wakefern Food Corp (Shop-Rite of Clinton). He was always admired for his dedication and analytical acumen. Outside of work, he had a passion for offshore fishing and cherished his time spent in Montauk, Long Island. He served his community as a den leader with the George Washington Council 1954 Boy Scouts and was known for his leadership and kindness.
Robert loved nothing more than gathering with family for poker nights with his cousins and cheering on his favorite teams—the New York Mets and the New York Islanders.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carmen, and their children: Robert "Bobby" Nicholas Kadi, William "Bill" Kadi, and daughter-in-law Shannon M. Kadi. He was a proud grandfather to Austin and Hannah Kadi, and is also survived by his niece Jill Kadi, sister-in-law Josephine Kadi, nephew Claude Martini, and brother-in-law Steven Martini.
Robert was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Joseph F. Kadi; his nephew, Joseph Robert Edward Kadi; and his beloved chocolate Labrador, Sophie.
