Rita E Brennan

Rita E. Brennan, 77, of Oxford, NJ passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ.

Rita was born on June 26, 1949 in Darby, Pennsylvania to the late Robert and Elizabeth McKenna.

Rita grew up in the Upper Darby suburb of Philadelphia where she graduated from Archbishop Prendergast High School Class of 1967. She married the love of her life Joseph Brennan Sr. in 1968. Rita was employed as a Medical Assistant for 25 years. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Washington, NJ. Rita was a member of the women’s club and very active in the community. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Joseph M. Brennan Sr., her loving children; Joseph M Brennan Jr., and his wife Jennifer, Kristin Wech and her husband Timothy, Colleen Brennan, and Brian Brennan and his wife Sarah. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren; Hannah Brennan, Aidan Wech, Joseph M Brennan III, McKenna Wech, Taylor Brennan, Corey Brennan, and Fiona Brennan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Robert McKenna and Rosemarie Bauer.

Services will be held Friday, August 14th at 11:00 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church in Havertown, PA. Interment will follow the mass.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882.
