Patricia M. Polak, 101, of Belvidere, New Jersey, and previously of Easton, Pennsylvania, and Brick, New Jersey, passed away on December 2, 2025, at Mira Vie at Brookfield.
Born on May 18, 1924, in Dublin, Ireland, Patricia was the daughter of the late Richard Alcock and Kathleen Alcock Bardsley. She graduated from St. Brendan’s in the Bronx and went on to work for the Federal Reserve and the National State Bank of Springfield, New Jersey.
Patricia was an avid reader who loved doing crossword puzzles and never missed her favorite BBC shows. She treasured time spent with her family and was truly the life of every gathering. During her time at Mira Vie, she became affectionately known as “the Candy Lady” for her warm and generous spirit.
She is survived by her children, Charles Polak and his wife, Diane, and Patti Boyle and her husband, Jim; her grandchildren, Dawn, Joe, Ryan James, and Casey Adam; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles, who passed in 2001; her son, Joseph; her grandson, Shane Patrick Boyle; and her sister, Margaret.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A memorial service celebrating Patricia's life will begin in the funeral home at 3:00 PM. Graveside burial at Mount Hope Cemetery in Westchester, New York, will be held privately.
