Patricia Lechiski

Patricia A. Lechiski 78, of Flemington, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by her loving family on August 12, 2014 at Hunterdon Medical Center. Born: on August 17, 1935 in Oxford, NJ to the late William and Esther DeLaney. Personal: Pat formally resided in Oxford, Hampton, and Bethlehem, PA. She graduated from Washington High School, class of 1953. She was employed as a baker for Food Lane and later Giant Foods until her retirement. Her beloved husband, Edward, passed away in 1980. Pat found spending time with her family to be her most prized possession. She enjoyed everything from trips with them to the casino to having morning coffee on the patio. Vacationing to Disney World and Connecticut, she felt these experiences created lasting memories and a love of life. An avid Yankees fan, she felt there was nothing better than watching the games with her family and cats curled up next to her. She was an animal lover and the beloved matriarch of the family. Survivors: Her devoted daughter and best friend, Donna Groegler and her husband David, a loving granddaughter Jenni Lee Groegler Pierson and her husband Kirk, a great granddaughter, Jocelyn Pierson, and her two cats Tommy and JuJu. In addition to her husband Edward, Pat was predeceased by two sisters Jacqueline Kinney and Joyce DeLaney, and her faithful German Shepherd, Gretchen. Services: Friends and family may call on Friday August 15, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave, Washington, N.J. 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday August 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery in Hampton.
