Patricia R. "Butler" Carley, 89, of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on June 7, 2023 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice House in Fredon, NJ with her loving family by her side.

Pat was born on March 1, 1934 in Hoboken, NJ to the late Harold and Susan "Devir" Butler. She grew up in Ridgefield Park and graduated from Ridgefield Park High School class of 1952. She moved to Washington with her husband Edward in 1976. Together they owned and operated Stewarts Root Beer on Route 31 in Washington until her retirement in 2002. Her loving husband Edward Theodore Carley passed away in 2002. She enjoyed her summer trips to the beach and her vacations to Jupiter, FL. Pat was also a home maker and cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Pat is survived by her children, a son, Timothy Carley, daughters, Diane Carley and her husband Larry Jacobs, Nancy Wester and her husband Michael, Susan Schumann and her husband Mark and Trish Kozelnik and her husband Dan. She is also survived by her brother, Mark Butler and wife Barbara; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Edward, Pat was preceded in death by her sons Michael Carley and Edward Thomas Carley, brother Harold Butler and sisters Mary Kalinowski, Elizabeth Teel, and Eleanor Cifelli.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday June 13, 2023 from 5-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday June 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. 200 Carlton Ave. Washington, NJ. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
