Pansy Gesner

Pansy D. Gesner, 79, of Bangor, and formerly of Washington, N.J., passed away Thursday, July 8, 2006, in her home. Born: In Raven Rock, W.Va., she was a daughter of the Late Benjamin Franklin and Minnie Virginia Price Rea. Personal: She was a 1944 graduate of St. Mary's High School, St. Mary's W.Va. where she was editor of the school newspaper and a member of the National Honor Society. She attended Western Union School in Washington, N.J. and became a Tele-typist during World War II. Pansy was instrumental in the founding of the Warren County Board of Realtors. Beginning her career as it secretary, she later became its Executive Officer until her retirement. Survivors: a brother, Frank Rea, of St. Mary's, W.Va.; a son, Michael, of Washington Township, N.J.; two daughters, Sharon Harpster, of Washington Borough, N.J., and Lisa Duckworth, of Bangor; five grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Services: Were private. The Warren Hills / Ford Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington, Ave., Washington, N.J., was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Pansy's memory to Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Suite 200, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
