Neil L. Bamford 84, formerly of Washington passed away in Macon, GA on May 24, 2015. Born in the family home in Washington, NJ on January 12, 1931 to the late William and Mary Bamford. Neil was a lifelong resident of Washington before moving to Georgia in 2010. He graduated from Washington high school class of 1950. He served proudly in the US Navy and was a Korean War veteran. Neil worked for the American Water Works Company in Haden Heights, NJ for more than 26 years before retiring in 1992. He and his wife Barbara (nee Chechotka) were married for more than 30 years. Neil was a Mason and a member of the F&AM Mansfield Lodge #36. A member of the Scottish Rite Lodge of Trenton, NJ and Life member of the American Legion in Washington Post 103. Neil love to hunt and fish and he was a stock car driver earlier in his life. Survivors: He is survived by his loving wife Barbara; Daughters Diana Simmeny and Nancy William: A sister Fern Ball and a brother Bill Bamford. Four Grandchildren and one great grandchild. Neil was preceded in death by Brothers; Dale Bamford, Kay J Bamford, Sisters; June Fox, Sue Bamford and Betty Roemer Services: A graveside Memorial service to celebrated Neil’s life will be held on Saturday June 13, 2015 at 12:00 PM at the Summerfield Cemetery in White township.
