Mary J Popovich

Mary J. Popovich, 80, of Lopatcong Township passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Mary was born on June 3, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Edward and Mary "Christian" Woods Sr.

She grew up in North Brunswick, NJ before moving to Lopatcong Township. Mary was employed in retail sales throughout her career. She had previously worked for K-Mart, Sears and JC Penny before retiring in 2008. She married her soulmate Paul Popovich in 1969 and together they recently celebrated their 55thwedding anniversary. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting and ceramics. She was a talented cook and her recipe for her homemade mashed potatoes is said to be the best on the planet. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her loving husband Paul, she is survived by her daughters, Mary Popovich and Paula Singer (Bill); her sisters, Linda Jones (Wayne) and Barbara Lenczewski (Ron); 4 grandchildren, Rheilly, Xyann. Brody and Myles. Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Woods Jr and a sister, Patricia Voorhees.
