Marie Maglia

Marie L. Maglia, 90, of Washington Township , NJ , died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 20, 2008 . Born: August 14, 19 18 in New York City , she was a daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth Romanazzi. Personal: She was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Alfred, on January 20, 2008 . She had lived in Washington Township for the past 20 years, coming from Long Island . She had been a doctor's assistant and later in life worked for Abilities of NW Jersey. Marie graduated from Holy Cross High School , New York ; she enjoyed crafts and was very artistic. Survivors: A daughter Marie Thorsen and husband Tom of Washington; a son Peter Maglia of Glen Oaks, NY; six grandchildren, Doug, Chris, Scott, Steven, Peter Jr., and Autumn and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a great-grandson, Matthew Thorsen, in 2003. Services: A visitation will be held 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave. , Washington, NJ. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Funeral Home with Pastor James Scovell officiating, call 11:00 a.m. until start of the services. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Alpha.
