Margaret H. "Peggy" McLaughlin, 87, of Whiting, NJ passed away peacefully on October 22, 2022 at Bey Lea Village Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Toms River, NJ.

Margaret was born on July 29, 1935 in Piedmont, AL to the late Paul and Nellie May "Shumake" Ralston. Peggy graduated from Holt High School class of 1952. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Mack Trucks and Binder Machinery in South Plainfield, NJ for many years before her retirement in 1995. Peggy's husband George "Mac" McLaughlin passed away in 1998. Peggy is also predeceased by her siblings, Bet Turner, Pauline Franklin, James C Ralston and Howard "Sonny" Ralston. She enjoyed Saturday morning garage sales, painting and crabbing with Mac. Saturday afternoons she would be cheering on her Alabama Crimson Tide football team.

Peggy is survived by her loving son, Shannon McLaughlin and his wife Debbie; stepsons, Robert McLaughlin, Gary McLaughlin and his wife Christine; grandchildren Devin, Aidan, Erica, Kyle and Kaylee and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday October 28, 2022 from 1-3 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Memorial service celebrating Margaret's life will begin at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
