Margaret Ellen Hissim (Kimler), 79, of Oxford, New Jersey, passed away on February 11, 2026 at her family’s home in Belvidere, New Jersey. Born on November 25, 1946 in Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter of William Kimler and Muriel Kimler (Jones). She lived in many places but called Oxford, New Jersey her home for many years.
Marge was a woman of remarkable strength and spirit. She was stubborn in the best way, resilient through every season of life, and deeply rooted in her love for her family. Being a true spunky spitfire, she never hesitated to say exactly what was on her mind, often just to make her family laugh and smile. Beneath it all, there was a heart of gold.
She had a deep love for animals, especially blue-eyed baby goats and the stray cats she cared for so much. She named them all Midnight, Kaylee, Baby, and Crybaby. Her compassion extended to everyone and everything she encountered, reflecting her soft and nurturing spirit beneath her strong exterior.
Above all, she loved her family fiercely. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She was endlessly proud of their accomplishments, never failing to celebrate even the smallest ones. Through her example, she showed her family what it means to be tough and resilient. She taught them to be strong and stand back up every time life tries to knock them down while remaining brave when things feel uncertain. Most importantly, she would always remind them not to dance with the devil.
Whether she was spending time with loved ones or enjoying her latest find from QVC and HSN, she always had a way of making ordinary days feel special. The strength she carried and the unwavering love she gave so freely will forever remain a guiding light for her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Dorothy Smith (Kimler) and Elsie Van Houten (Kimler), brothers Robert Kimler, William Kimler, John Kimler, and Frederick Kimler, best friend/sister Doloris Brown, and cherished son Gary Williams.
Marge leaves behind a loving family, including her long time partner and loving husband Irving (AY) Hissim whom she was married to for nearly 24 years making a total of 40 years together, daughter Christine Moore Dancy of Belvidere NJ, son Robert Williams of Pennsylvania, brother Raymond Kimler of Florida, grandchildren Brittany Moore, Andrew Moore, Kayleigh Keggan, Kristine Williams, Colt Williams, great grandchildren Aiden and Asher, and her many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 14, 2026 at Warren Hills Memorial Home in Washington, NJ from 10 am to 12 pm. Funeral processions will continue at 1 pm at the Belvidere Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oxford NJ Ambulance Corp.
