Marc E Blackwell

Marc E. Blackwell Sr., 67, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away on December 30, 2021 at St. Luke's Warren Hospital.

Marc was born on August 20, 1954 to the late Haywood and Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Rousz) Blackwell.

Marc graduated from East Brunswick High School in 1972. He earned his journeyman machinist certificates in 1975 & also graduated from Mercer County College in 1983. He was employed as a machinist his entire life, even owning his own shop many years ago. He was most recently employed with All Mechanical Services in Perth Amboy, NJ until 2015.

Marc LOVED motorcycles. He rode competitive motor cross in his earlier years and owned many motorcycles, dirt bikes, trikes, and motorized vehicles throughout his lifetime. He thoroughly enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and rode it 365 days a year, even in rain, sleet, or snow. He combined his love of motorcycles with his machinist skills on many occasions and built several custom motorcycles and choppers for himself and others.

Marc is survived by his daughters, Billie Jo Blackwell and Kristin Stephens and her husband Thomas; his sons, Marc Blackwell and his wife Claudia and Eric Blackwell; a sister, Monica Blackwell; a grandson, Thomas Stephens Jr.; a cousin, Gert Sliwka; an Aunt Audrey Riggs and his devoted dogs Cujo, Brownie, Angel (& Xena). He was preceded in death by a nephew, Brian Rimblas.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 2PM-5PM at the YMIA Club at 320 Mercer St., Phillipsburg, NJ. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home. To send an on-line condolence please visit www.warrenhillsmemorialhome.com
