Madison Whitehead

Madison F. Whitehead Jr. of Karsville, NJ. 82 years old. Died Saturday, February 27 2010 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Born on April 14, 1927 in Glen Ridge, NJ. He was the son of the late Marguerite and Madison Whitehead Sr. Personal: He graduated from West Orange High School in 1945. He served in the Marine Corp during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He worked for Welsh Farms for 40 years and retired as Vice President of Sales. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved fishing, wood working, and spending time with his animals, nature, and his grandchildren. He loved new adventures and his trips to Alaska, Canada, and Maine. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was always there to help anyone who needed him. He will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation. Survivors: In addition to his wife of 59 years, Jane, he is survived by his children; a son Madison F. Whitehead III and his wife Jill, a daughter Jane Ennico and her husband Paul, a daughter Julie Pruznick, a son John Whitehead and his wife Veronica, and a daughter Carol Rafalko and her husband Michael. His grandchildren, Amanda Gavin and her husband James, Travis Whitehead and his fiance Amy Fetter, Miles Pruznick, Hannah Whitehead, Johnny Whitehead, Olivia Pruznick, Sammi Ennico, Megan Rafalko, Jessie Rafalko, and Christopher Whitehead. His brother, David Whitehead and his wife Eleanor, his sister Midge Kuehne and husband Ronnie. Brother-in-laws Thomas Collinson and wife Mary, Robert Collinson, Carol Mullen, and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. A Memorial service will be held on Friday March 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave Washington, NJ 07882. Family and friends may call on Friday from 9:30 until time of Memorial Service.
