Lillian Eckert

Lillian M. Eckert, 87, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2016 at Warren Haven Nursing Home. She was born on July 18, 1928 at home in Brooklyn, NY to the late Benjamin and Mary Klokocka After attending school in Brooklyn, NY, Lillian was employed as a ladies garment worker and seamstress in New York. She enjoyed watching baseball and was an avid NY Mets fan. Lillian’s hobbies included reading and watching television. She loved the challenge of a good crossword puzzle. Above all of her hobbies she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving daughters Linda Festante and her husband Anthony and Laura Hernandez and her husband Oscar; a sister Loretta Klokocka. 3 treasured grandchildren, Ryan, Amy & Krista, and 3 great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Brayden and Addison. Lillian was preceded in death by her devoted husband Robert who passed away in 1987, a son Wayne Eckert and a brother Albert Haberski Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 4-7 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882 Funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 7:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be at Calverton National Military Cemetery in Calverton, NY
