Leanora Schelling

Leanora J. Schelling, 94, previously of Washington and Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully on August 14, 2018 at the Phillipsburg Care Center. Leanora was born August 2, 1924 in Allamuchy, NJ to the late Joseph and Mildred Stafford. She graduated from Hackettstown High School class of 1942. She was a housewife most of her life but she also worked at Hills Diner and Essex Specialty Co. during WWII. Her loving husband Burton Schelling Sr. passed away in 1981. Leanora loved all animals especially dogs. She enjoyed cooking. She cherished time spent with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Marsh and her husband Richard. Sons, Burt Schelling Jr. and his wife Debbie; Thomas Schelling and his wife Marilyn. 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday August 20, 2018 from 10-11 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Leanora's name to Pet Adoption League, PO Box 206, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
