Kellye Lou Kries, 66, passed away peacefully at her home on August 19, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
Born on March 15, 1960, in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Kellye was the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (née Nolan) Rush. She was a graduate of Warren Hills High School, Class of 1978.
Kellye dedicated much of her professional life to helping others. She worked as a dispatcher for AT&T and was also a part owner and operator of Creations Unlimited. Her passion for children and cheerleading led her to be the co-founder of the Junior Streaks Cheer program and the Washington Township Panthers Cheer program, where she also served as Director of Cheer. Through these roles, she touched the lives of countless young athletes and families.
Kellye loved spending time with her family and making memories wherever she went. She enjoyed attending concerts, the Jersey Shore, and treasured vacations to the Outer Banks and Disney, particularly when traveling for cheer competitions. Above all, Kellye cherished the time she spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Randy; her two children, Jason Kries and his wife, Kristen, and Kyle Kries and his wife, Nicole; her five beloved grandchildren, Olivia, Austin, Bailey, Mason, and Tucker. She is also survived by her siblings, Richard Rush and his wife, Kathy, and Karyn Happel and her husband, Kevin; her brother-in-law, Larry Maney; and many adored nieces and nephews. Kellye will also be missed by her many friends whom she considered family.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, New Jersey 07882. A service celebrating Kellye's life will be held at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m.
