June S. Lance, 91, a lifelong resident of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024 at her daughter's home.
June was born on June 7, 1933 to the late Raymond and Gladys "Kummer" Sarson. She graduated from Washington High School class of 1951 where she participated in cheerleading, softball, basketball and hockey. June was employed as a Loan Accountant for Midlantic Bank in Washington for more than 35 years until her retirement in 1996. June was a diehard NY Yankee and Philadelphia Eagle Fan. She was a dedicated member of the Washington United Methodist Chuch where she served on many committees. She was also a past member of the Washington Elks, serving as president and secretary, the Election Board, Meals on Wheels, Washington PTA and Oakwood Women's bowling league. June enjoyed dancing, golfing, gardening and baking. She was also a talented cook. She also enjoyed following her children and grandchildren in all sports and activities they participated in and was an avid walker who enjoyed her daily walks.
Her loving husband David W. Lance passed away in 1991.
June is survived by her children, Lorifay Lance Wright, David Lance (Becky) and Drew Lance (Karla); a sister, Kathie Barbas Gonyeau (Jim); grandchildren, Ryan Lance (Whitney), Rachel Coates (Mike), David Lance (Melissa), Lauren Umbrell (Chris), Jeff Wright (Bea), Kyle and Blake Lance; and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, June was also preceded in death by a sister Fay Burd (Robert) and her companion Mario Pasquini.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday November 1, 2024 from 5-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A funeral service celebrating June's life will be held on Saturday November 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Musconetcong Valley cemetery in Hampton. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in memory of June to the New Jersey State Firemen's Relief Association, 1711 Route 34 South, Wall, NJ 07727
