Joseph Zepko, 89, of Washington Township passed away on January 9, 2017 with his caring family by his side. Joe was born in Newark, NJ to the late Michael and Mary Rose Zepko. He graduated from Queen of Peace High School, North Arlington, NJ, Class of 1946. He served as an aircraft spotter at the age of sixteen, was later Master Sergeant, Armored Division in the United States Army WWII and Korea 1945 ? 1951. He was a member of American Legion Post 471 and became a life member and Vice Commander of Post 103. He was employed with RCA and Oxy-Dry before retirement in 1989 He was a skilled staff photographer for Drum Corps World. He was on the Board of Directors for the Saints Drum and Bugle Corps. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Saint Joseph Church, Washington, NJ. Joseph is predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret Zepko. He is survived by his loving children, Thomas Zepko, Eleanor Campbell and husband Gary, AnnMarie Meredith and husband Glenn; his grandchildren, Gregory Campbell and wife Tizianna, Erica Campbell, Kristin Mockoviak and husband Ryan, Stephen Tvedt and wife Valensiya. Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 9-11AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882. A memorial service celebrating Joe's life will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's name to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Saint Peter's University Hospital, 254 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.
