Joseph A Morea

Joseph A. Morea Sr, 90, passed away suddenly at his home in Washington Township, NJ on November 12, 2020. Joseph was born on May 30, 1930 in Bernardsville, NJ to the late Joseph and Lorenza "Marinelli" Morea. Joseph attended school in Bernardsville where he spent most of his life. He served proudly in the US Army during the Korean War. Joseph was employed as a superintendent/Manager for Eastern Concrete in Glen Gardner for more than 40 years until his retirement in 2001. Earlier in his life he was employed by Ferranti Quarry in Bernardsville. His loving wife Mary "Ostiguy" Morea passed away in 2015. Joseph was a member of the VFW Post 7858 in Bernardsville, NJ. He enjoyed cooking and fishing. Joseph especially enjoyed his annual trips with family and friends to watch the Indy 500. Joseph is survived by his son, Joseph A. Morea Jr and his wife Colleen with whom he resided; sisters, Florence Ginnie and Joann Camillucci; grandchildren, Brian Morea and his wife Kelli and Christopher Morea and a Great Granddaughter, Myla. In addition to his wife Mary, Joseph was preceded in death by his brother Armando and Sisters Helen, Edie, Mary, Katie and Sally. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday November 22, 2020 from 2-3 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A memorial service celebrating Joseph's life will be celebrated at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
