Our beloved brother, John, passed away after a recent diagnosis of cancer on January 25, 2026, in Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey.
John Charles Ferry was born on September 24, 1962, in Norwood, Massachusetts to the late John (Jack) Ferry and June (née Logan) Ferry. John’s family moved back to New Jersey about a month later and he became a Jersey boy.
John graduated from Warren Hills Regional Senior High School in Washington, New Jersey in 1980. He continued his studies in economics at Ramapo College.
John enjoyed spending time on the golf course, reading, and was an avid sports fan, proudly supporting the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins, Boston Celtics, and the Boston Bruins. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Fleas. John loved hot dogs and this was only surpassed by his love of Heinz 57 ketchup.
John was the youngest of five children. He was preceded in death by both parents, one brother, Stephen Ferry, and a nephew, Matthew Ferry. He is survived by his eldest sibling, Blair Hysong, her son John and his wife, Kirstin. Also, his other sister Bridget Tomlinson, her husband Roy, and their sons David and Michael. He also leaves his brother Michael Ferry and his wife Jean; his sister-in-law Lorraine Ferry and her two surviving sons, Sean and Dan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 21st from 10 am to 12 pm, followed by interment at the Washington Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home. To send an online condolence, please visit www.warrenhillsmemorialhome.com.
