Joan Harrison

Joan Harrison, 79, of Washington, New Jersey, and formerly of High Bridge, passed away peacefully at her home on June 12, 2025, with her loving children by her side. She was born on March 3, 1946, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to the late John and Jennie Krokosz.

Joan was a graduate of Somerville High School and worked for many years as a dedicated nurse's aide at Raritan Health and Extended Care. Her compassion and warmth left a lasting impression on all those she cared for.

She loved spending summers at Long Beach Island with her family and enjoyed traveling with the Hunterdon Adult Education Group to various destinations. Joan also appreciated live entertainment and often attended shows at Wind Creek Casino. She had a remarkable gift for staying connected and never missed an opportunity to check in on friends and family.

Joan is survived by her devoted daughters, Judy Longo and her husband Nick, and Carol Harrison. She also leaves behind her beloved grand-kittens, who brought her great comfort and joy.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Kenneth Harrison, who passed in 2016, and her cherished son, Kenneth Harrison Jr., who passed in 2019.

A memorial service celebrating Joan's life will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 12:30 PM, at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
