Jean Simmons

Jean L. Simmons, 59, of White Township, NJ passed away peacefully on October 16, 2019 at Brakeley Park Center, Lopatcong, NJ with loved ones by her side. Jean was born on July 18, 1960 in Buffalo, NY to the late Robert and Marcia Simmons. Jean was a graduate of Belvidere High School Class of 1978 and the Warren County Technical School Nursing Program. After receiving her degree, she went on to work as an LPN and Respiratory Therapist at St. Luke’s Warren Hospital for 36 years. She enjoyed reading and doing Sudoku puzzles, and she loved spending time with her beloved cats and dogs. Jean is survived by her siblings; Brian Simmons and his wife Karen, Gordon Simmons, Eric Simmons and his wife Patty, and Julie Simmons and her wife Marlene Oberly. She is also survived by her 4 Nieces, 1 Nephew, and 9 Great Nephews. Jean also leaves behind her her 3 cherished cats; Bella, Brother, and Buddy. In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased in death by her brother Sean Simmons and Sister-in-law Marti Simmons. A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 1-4 PM at Flynn’s On The Hill Restaurant, 341 Pursel St., Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jean’s name to Common Sense for Animals, P.O. Box 589, Broadway, NJ 08808 Funeral arrangments have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home.
