James “Jimmy” Micklos, 66, of Washington, NJ, born September 13, 1959 entered peacefully into the presence of the Lord on September 28, 2025. He was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Shirley (Shepherd) Micklos and Andrew Micklos.
Jimmy was raised in South Bound Brook and attended Bound Brook High School. He went on to work for many years with Miele Appliances in Somerset, where he served as a supervisor and earned the respect of both colleagues and friends. Outside of work, he enjoyed playing poker with loved ones, crafting, and spending cherished time with his family.
A devoted Christian, Jimmy faithfully served for many years as a deacon at Somerset Bible Baptist Church. He loved the Lord Jesus with all his heart and was well-versed in the Scriptures, drawing strength, wisdom, and guidance from God’s Word throughout his life. Among his favorite passages was Romans 8:38–39:
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Above all else, Jimmy was a devoted father to his beloved daughter, Britany Micklos, who he adored and was the joy of his life. He is also survived by his siblings Margaret Miller, Andrea Tomaro, Andrew Micklos, and June Clay; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved and cherished him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley (Shepherd) and Andrew Micklos; his sisters Shirley Micklos and Sandra Fatjo; and his brother Lester Baker.
Remembered for his heart of gold, Jimmy touched countless lives with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. He leaves behind a testimony of love and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed until the day we are reunited in Glory.
