Jacqueline M. Puglia, 76, passed away peacefully on Hospice care on April 14, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Jacqueline was born on May 28, 1946 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Vincent and Margaret "Jack" Barry. She graduated from Madison High School in Old Bridge, NJ class of 1964, and she went on to earn a degree from Brookdale College. Jacqueline was employed for many years as a bookkeeper, and office manager for the family business. She was also a homemaker and loved to take care of her family. Her dear husband Bartholomew Puglia passed away in 2003. She was a devout catholic and longtime member and volunteer at St. Rose of Lima Church in Oxford where she also served as a lector. She supported many charities with St. Jude's Children's Hospital closest to her heart. Jacqueline enjoyed music, antique collecting, theater and the arts. She adored her family and cherished the time she spent with them.
Jacqueline is survived by her sons, Frank Golaszewski, Alan Golaszewski and Vincent Puglia and his wife Joan Holtz-Puglia; her sisters, Denise Booream and her husband Van, and Veronica Crowe and her husband Robert; three grandchildren Francis Golaszewski, Jr., Nicholas Golaszewski and Abigail Puglia; nieces and nephew Tammy Vreeland, Cameo Hoffman, Paul Booream; and great-nephew Maximillian Vreeland. In addition to her parents and husband, Jacqueline was preceded in death by a brother Vincent Barry Jr.; two grandsons, Christopher Golaszewski and Jordan Golaszewski; nephew-in-law Robert Vreeland and sister-in-law Flora Puglia.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday April 18, 2023 from 6-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday April 19, 2023 at 9:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 85 Academy St. Oxford, NJ 07863. Burial will follow at Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home.
