Howard Kron

Howard Kron, 70, of Washington Township, NJ passed away suddenly at home on May 7th, 2015. Howard was born on July 22, 1944 in Paterson, NJ to the late Howard and Ella Kron (nee Paris). He formerly lived in Califon, Flemington and Plainfield before moving to Washington in 1995. He was a graduate of St. Benedict's Preparatory School in Newark. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from St. Bonaventure's University in New York State and his Master's degree in Education from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. He retired from Watchung Hills Regional High School after 37 years. Howard was a former member of Warren County Arts and a member of the Musconetcong Watershed Association and the Warren County Democratic Committee. He enjoyed painting. Photography, gardening and kayaking. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Thiede, two daughters, Allison and Karin Kron; two sons, David (Anita) and Daniel Kron. Also his sister Lauren Patterson and her husband Ron, 4 grandchildren and his beloved canine companions, Levon and Bella. A celebration of Howard's life will be held later. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Howard Kron to St. Benedict's Preparatory School Scholarship fund at 520 Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard, Neward, NJ 07102-1314.
