Harry Jack Jenkins Jr., 88, of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on June 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 15, 1937, in Reading, PA, Harry was the son of the late Harry J. Jenkins Sr. and Bernice (Fidler) Jenkins. Proceeded in death by his twin sisters, Diana and Mariel, sister Marcia, Brothers, Richard, William, and Ronald.
He was a graduate of Myers High School, Class of 1955. Harry previously resided in Branchburg and Somerville before settling in Washington in 2001.
In 1962, he married the love of his life, Jane (Mondulick) Jenkins, with whom he shared 63 wonderful years. Harry was employed by Johanna Farms in Flemington, where he dedicated over 20 years of service before retiring in 2008.
In his spare time, Harry found joy in fishing, gardening, bird feeding, his aquarium, day trips to the casinos, family dinners, playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, ice and roller skating, and attending church service. These hobbies, pastimes, and faith brought him peace and happiness throughout his life.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Jane; sister in-law Diane; his children, Cindy Chadwick (Al), and John Jenkins and his wife Maureen; six cherished grandchildren, Johnny, Kaetlyn, Justin, Chad and his wife Dominique, Justina, and Ethan; and 4 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A Memorial Service celebrating Harry’s life will begin at 11:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
