Glenn F. Eckel, 64, of Washington died unexpectedly, Friday, February 5, 2016 at Winnewald Day Camp. Glenn was born in Phillipsburg on May 17, 1951 the son of the late Earle J. and Cora B. Eckel. Glenn was a graduate of Warren Hills Regional High School, Class of 1969. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, walking, bicycling and hiking. He was an avid New York Yankees and Seattle Seahawks Fan and watching modified stock car racing at Bridgeport (NJ) Speedway with his brother. Glenn served his country in the NJ National Guard. Glenn was employed by American Can for over 30 years as a maintenance mechanic. For the last few years, he was employed at Winnewald Day Camp Glenn is survived by his brothers Robert of Washington and Bruce and his wife Patricia of Crawfordsville, Indiana. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882. And again on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. Burial will take place at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be in Glenn’s name to Winnewald Day Camp, 21 Cratetown Road, Lebanon, NJ.
