Gisela Puccio

Gisela C. Puccio, 90, of Bethlehem Township, NJ passed away peacefully on June 6, 2018 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Gisela was born on February 19, 1928 in Zehrensdorf, Germany to the late Ernst and Margareta Keiper. Gisela was educated in Germany and dedicated her life to pediatric nursing. She came to the US to visit her sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Hans, and her nieces, Susan, Barbara, and Rebecca whom she loved very much. On one of those visits Gisela went to a German Club dance in Irvington where she met the love of her life, Gaspare Puccio. She married him and moved to the US permanently in 1969. She was employed as a nurse’s assistant on the pediatric unit for Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ until her retirement in 1993. She enjoyed reading, sewing and gardening. Gisela cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her loving husband Gaspare Puccio, Gisela is survived by a daughter, Alexandra Maguire and her husband Richard; a sister, Ruth Kuhnau and her husband Hans; six grandchildren; Cheyenne, Desiree, Adam, Ashley, Mandie, Richie, 3 great grandchildren, and her nieces and a nephew. A funeral service celebrating Gisela’s life will be held on Monday June 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home.234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Interment will follow at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery in Hampton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gisela’s name to Hunterdon Hospice.
