Gertrude J. Coleman

Gertrude "Trudy" J. Coleman, 89, of Washington, NJ passed away on December 19, 2023 at Hackettstown Medical Center.

Trudy was born on February 8, 1934 in Newark, NJ to the late George and Gertrude Morehouse.

She owned and operated Theo's Flower Shop with her husband, Theophilus Coleman for 35 years. Trudy enjoyed playing bingo and cards, and also liked doing word puzzle books. She was a passionate reader of People Magazine and would wait by the door for the postman to deliver her weekly edition. Trudy cared for her family dearly and enjoyed every moment spent with them.

Trudy is survived by her children; Craig Coleman and his wife Lynn, Jean Ferry and her husband Michael and JoAnn Gaw, grandchildren; Rachel and her husband Anthony, Elizabeth, Elena, Robert and his wife Sarah Rose, John Brian, Dana, and Anthony, great grandchildren; Tien, Ava, Averi, Ayzlin, Andrew, Emerson, and Scott. She also leaves behind many beloved relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Trudy, is predeceased by her loving husband, Theophilus Coleman, who passed in 2020 and her sons; Robert and George Coleman, and her twin sister, Elsie Devine and her brother, George Morehouse.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA.
