Geraldine Sparano

Geraldine M. Sparano, 81, of Washington, NJ, formerly of Stroudsburg, PA, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2018 at St. Luke’s Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ. Geraldine was born in Highland Park, NJ on June 3, 1936 to the late August and Mary Bork. She graduated from Highland Park High School class of 1955. She married the love of her life Salvatore Sparano. She was of the Catholic faith. Gerry was employed as a Head Cashier at AT&T. She also worked at BJ’s as a tasting specialist and at Lowes. She was very outgoing and friendly and loved by all her customers. Gerry enjoyed shopping for home décor and loved gardening. She was an avid viewer of HGTV and DIY. She enjoyed baking and cooking, especially for her family. Gerry was an animal lover, particularly her rescue dog. She is survived by her loving daughters, Dawn Wurts and Lisa Best. Her 3 cherished grandsons, David Wurts, Steven Best and Mark Sparano Wurts. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Salvatore Sparano Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 6-8:00 PM at Warren Hills Memorial Home 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ. Memorial service will immediately follow visitation at 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
