George passed after a brief illness on August 25, 2025.

A native of Denver, Colorado, George was a graduate of Colorado Academy. He then attended Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated with an AB and a-MA from their School of Advanced International Studies. He joined the Navy following his graduation and was an Air Intelligence Officer serving on the aircraft carrier John F Kennedy. Upon completing his tour he entered civilian life and earned his CPA and MBA in accounting. employed with various financial institutions.

1983-2002 George was President of G R Pugh & Co, creating and marketing Energy Databases and consulting services.

In his private life he was an avid reader, enthusiastic cook, and teller of entertaining tales. He was a member of the Free Masons Mansfield Lodge #36, Washington NJ.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Kathryn and his sister Tina Lifschutz of Henderson NV,

A service celebrating George's life will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mansfield Lodge # 36 of Free and Accepted Masons, 275 NJ- 31, Washington, NJ 07882. Inurnment at Washington Crossing national Cemetery will be held privately.
