Frances E. Lafergola

Frances E. Lafergola, 93, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026, at Emerald Hill Nursing Home in Oxford, New Jersey.

Frances was born on August 1, 1933, in The Bronx, New York, to the late John and Mildred Marinace, née Colletti. She was a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx, Class of 1951. She graduated from the paralegal program at Rockland Community College in 1983. She worked as a Legal Assistant from 1982-1986. Frances worked from 1983 to 2003 as a real estate agent, a career she enjoyed and took great pride in. She later went on to work at her son’s podiatrist office as a medical assistant from 2003 to 2016.

A creative and talented woman, Frances found great enjoyment in crafting and repurposing furniture. She had a special love for collecting dolls and enjoyed the art of decoupage. She was happiest when she was creating something beautiful or putting her own personal touch on things.

Frances will be deeply missed by her children, Thomas Lafergola and his wife Gerry, Paul Lafergola and his partner Mike, John Lafergola and his wife Yingni, and Christina Faraone and her husband John; her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Lafergola; her grandchildren, Sophie and her partner Alana, Matthew and his wife Mehara, and Benjamin and his wife Emily; and her great-granddaughter, Madison Lafergola.

In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her beloved son, Stephen Lafergola, and her brothers, Robert and Richard.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home and are private at this time.
