Felix Colon Mateo

Felix Colon Mateo, 74, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away suddenly at home.

Felix was born on April 4, 1947 in Cuamo, Puerto Rico to the late Thomas Colon Mateo and Alcema Ezpada.

He married the love of his life Norma Matos and together celebrated 53 years of marriage. Felix was self-employed. He was an expert auto body painter. He was an avid fisherman and loved to saltwater fish on the beaches in Puerto Rico. Every Sunday he would come home with many red snapper and fluke. He was a talented harmonica player and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Felix is survived by his devoted wife Norma Matos, his siblings, his children George Matos and his wife Malyssa, Carmen Cocco and her husband Michael, Rocky Colon and his wife Miriam, Nelson Colon and his wife Milly, Jose Morales and Philaberto Colon. He also leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
