Eric R. Mattson

Eric R. Mattson, 62, of Oxford, NJ went home to be with the lord on his birthday, July 25, 2022 at University Hospital in Newark, NJ.

Eric was born on July 25, 1960 in Phillipsburg, NJ to Dixie Mattson and the late Ronald Mattson.

He was a resident at the Pieter Woodcock Group Home, Oxford, NJ and attended the Warren County Day Training Program and the workshop at Abilities of Northwest Jersey.

Eric loved music and enjoyed his weekend visits to his mom's house where he appreciated her excellent cooking. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Eric was loved by all who knew him and was always a joy to be around.

Eric is survived by his mother, Dixie Mattson, a brother Chris, a sister Lois Anderson and her husband Kevin, nephews, Nathan Anderson, Trevor Anderson and wife Paige, and daughter, Kate, aunts, Anita Mattson and Pat Peugh, cousin, Richard Cucchiara and many more cousins. Eric is preceded in death by his father Ronald.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 10:30 am at The Chapel at Warren Valley, 384 Route 57, Washington, NJ 07882.
