Elmer Skillman

Elmer E. Skillman, 80, of Washington, died October 6, 2009 , at the Country Arch Care Center, Pittstown, NJ. Born: On December 4, 19 28, in Bernard's Township, he was a son of the late Isaac and Margaret Skillman. Personal: Elmer previously lived in Califon and Bernardsville. He was a heavy equipment operator for Alwards Construction Co., Bernard's, NJ, retiring in 1989. Memberships: He was a member of the Califon Fire Dept., and a member of the Operating Engineers. Survivors: daughter, Nancy Badini and her husband Jeff of Kenvil, NJ; two sons, Robert Skillman and his wife Bonnie of Reeders, PA, Edward Skillman and his wife Kathy of Gouldsboro, PA; sister, Bessy Skillman; six grandchildren, Mickey, Colin, Tracy, Travis, Trevor and Stacy; five great-grandchildren, Mason, Mitchell, Santino, Giovanni and Madison. He was predeceased by brothers, Delbert, Edward, Thomas and William, two sisters, Betsy, Mary and Patricia Finnegan Services: Visitation will be Saturday, October 10, 2009 , from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 10, 2009 , at 12 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. James Scovell officiating. Cremation will be private.
